🎄✨ Color, Learn & Celebrate! A Magical Christmas in Rango, Bugesera District 🎅🎨
This 2025 Christmas, the village of Rango sparkled with laughter, joy, and a splash of creativity! Over 250 children gathered for a special celebration hosted by Rango Library, in collaboration with OAZIS Health, Kundwa Health, and YESI Rwanda. But this wasn’t just any Christmas party—it was a day of fun, learning, and becoming heroes against Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)!
The holiday spirit came alive as every child received thoughtful presents—refreshments, notebooks, pens, life skills books and math sets to brighten their learning journey. But the real surprise? The AMR Coloring Book Project—where kids learned an important health lesson through the power of art and storytelling!
With crayons in hand, the young artists dived into exciting coloring pages filled with superbugs superhero kids and superhero doctors, and fun challenges! Through vibrant illustrations, they discovered:
✅ The right way to use antimicrobials 🦠
✅ The importance of washing hands to fight germs 🧼✋
✅ How they can be AMR superheroes in their homes and schools! 🚀
🎉 A Celebration with a Purpose! 🎉
This Christmas was more than just a celebration—it was a step toward a healthier future! Through creativity and play, these children are now champions of AMR awareness, ready to share their knowledge with family and friends.
The AMR Coloring Book has proven to be an excellent tool for engaging young children meaningfully, enhancing their understanding and retention of key antimicrobial resistance (AMR) concepts. This innovative resource combines learning with creativity, making complex topics accessible and enjoyable for children. As a way forward, OAZIS Health is extending and scaling up this initiative to reach more children to amplify its impact and empower a larger audience with knowledge about AMR in an engaging and impactful manner.
